It is not just my right to know where my 14 year old is at all times, what she is up to and who she is with but also my responsibility as her parent and if that means I embarrass her by calling parents, walking her into parties or even shock horror saying, "No" then I'm ok with that even if she isn't at the moment. Shame there aren't more parents like Jane, I suspect some don't care, some are looking for some respite and others are too scared to use the N word with their teens.
